An Exclusive Benefit for Mid-Hudson Security Consultants Clients

As part of our commitment to protecting not only your organization but also the communities you serve, Mid-Hudson Security Consultants (MHSC) offers eligible security services clients the opportunity to establish a Community-Based Security Services Program at their location.

This exclusive program allows participating clients to sponsor and mentor volunteers who are interested in promoting community safety, emergency preparedness, and public awareness under the direction, supervision, and oversight of Mid-Hudson Security Consultants.

By expanding safety beyond traditional security services, your organization can strengthen community relationships while creating meaningful opportunities for employees, volunteers, families, and community members to become actively involved.

Why Offer This Program?

The Community-Based Security Services Program helps organizations create a culture of preparedness while building stronger partnerships between your staff, your community, and our professional security team.

Participating clients receive the opportunity to:

  • Sponsor community volunteers through a professionally managed program
  • Expand community engagement and public outreach efforts
  • Increase safety awareness among employees and visitors
  • Support community events with trained volunteers
  • Strengthen emergency preparedness within your organization
  • Build positive relationships between your organization and local residents

All volunteers must first meet with your organization and receive sponsorship approval before submitting an application to MHSC.

Volunteers Work Alongside Our Security Team

One of the unique benefits of this program is the opportunity for volunteers to work alongside Mid-Hudson Security Consultants personnel during approved community events, outreach programs, and preparedness initiatives.

This allows participants to:

  • Learn from experienced security professionals
  • Develop leadership and communication skills
  • Better understand emergency preparedness
  • Gain practical community-service experience
  • Build confidence through supervised participation

Volunteers remain in approved support roles and do not perform licensed security or law enforcement functions.

Develop Future Security Professionals

Some participants may eventually decide to pursue a career in private security.

The Community-Based Security Services Program provides an optional opportunity for interested volunteers to:

  • Learn about the private security profession
  • Receive mentorship from experienced security personnel
  • Understand New York State Security Guard licensing requirements
  • Work toward becoming a licensed Security Guard if they choose

Participation in the volunteer program does not require becoming a Security Guard and does not guarantee employment with Mid-Hudson Security Consultants.

Client Responsibilities

Participating organizations agree to:

  • Meet with prospective volunteers before referring them
  • Sponsor approved volunteers
  • Help identify appropriate volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinate with Mid-Hudson Security Consultants
  • Support volunteer scheduling
  • Encourage professionalism and adherence to program policies
  • Report concerns or incidents involving volunteers
  • Maintain open communication with MHSC

MHSC remains responsible for program oversight, volunteer coordination, policy guidance, training, and administrative support.

Program Oversight

All Community-Based Security Services Program volunteers operate under policies and procedures established by Mid-Hudson Security Consultants.

Volunteers are not police officers, peace officers, emergency responders, or licensed security guards unless separately qualified and specifically assigned in another capacity.

Their role is limited to approved community-service activities, safety awareness, preparedness initiatives, observation, reporting, hospitality, administrative support, and other non-enforcement responsibilities.
